This is from Latin originally: Oderint dum metuant. It is attributed to Lucius Accius (a tragic poet whose works do not survive), but was made famous as a favorite saying of the emperor Caligula.

Cato's suggestion is paramount, but it needs a little tweaking to get closer to your request.

Me oderint dum metuant (Which adds the "let them hate me" element).

I would, however, stick with the three-word composition. The meaning might be considered implied.
